I’m experimenting with a new shampoo & conditioner. For a while now I’ve been using Herbal Essences Long-Term Relationship shampoo and Hello Hydrationconditioner…but it hasn’t really been working for me. I have long, ridiculously thick hair with a not-so-fun touch of frizziness. I read online that sulphate ingredients in shampoos and conditioners can increase frizz. I checked the labels — sure enough, sulphate ingredients. Also, these products were making my head itchy — not cool. My friend recommended a sulphate-free products she had found at Wal-Mart: LiveClean.
I picked up Green Earth shampoo and conditioner. It helped with the itchy scalp (gross, I know…) and seems to have helped with frizziness. I have had a chance to use the shampoo with my old conditioner twice and the LiveClean shampoo and conditioner together only once. It seems to be helping.
I chose Green Earth (which was the only kind the local Wal-Mart carried) but there are also others: Purple Jewel, for wave-enhancing; Pink Fire, for colour protection;Fresh Water, for moisturizing; Clean Air, for volumizing — and more.
In my area, conditioner and shampoo each cost between $5 and $7.
